FAU Counseling and Psychological Services is seeking an Associate Director, Clinical Services.
The Associate Director - Clinical Services at Counseling and Psychological Services within the FAU Division of Student Affairs reports directly to the Director of CAPS. The Associate Director serves on the CAPS Administrative Team under leadership of the CAPS Director. Additional CAPS staff members include senior staff psychologists, counselors, support staff members, post-doctoral psychology residents, psychology doctoral interns, and doctoral practicum students in clinical and counseling psychology. The structure of the center is based upon shared values and commitment to equity, inclusivity, diversity, and transparency.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Coordination of all within-clinic counseling services, systems, and procedures to support rapid access to mental health care for all presenting students throughout the academic year, with assignment of cases based on an individualized approach to student needs, all in accordance with the highest standards of professional practice.
Development, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and maintenance of CAPS policy, procedural guidelines, and protocols that pertain to clinical services and service delivery within CAPS.
Oversight and supervision/coordination of professional staff to ensure the quality and quantity of direct clinical work and record keeping meet established standards of CAPS and professional standards.
Leadership and training to CAPS professional staff and trainees pertaining to all aspects of clinical services.
Provides direct clinical services to graduate and undergraduate students within the Center.
Must be licensed as a psychologist and meet requirements as established by the American Psychological Association, which includes a doctoral degree and a supervised internship experience and a minimum of five years post-licensure clinical experience.If licensed in another state, must be license-eligible in Florida at date of hire, and must obtain Florida license within 12 months of start date.High-level clinical skills in delivering mental health services.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to provide leadership in an inclusive, team-oriented environment.Desired Qualifications:Ability to collaborate and consult with professionals in an interdisciplinary setting.Ability to conduct outcome research, program evaluation, and analyze data for planning and program development.Commitment to culturally responsive services that integrate multicultural, equity, and social justice frameworks into practice.Prior University Counseling Center experience.Bilingual (Spanish, French, Creole, Portuguese).
$80,700 – $118,400 based on experience.
