The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University (http://nursing.fau.edu), together with its Institute for Sensing and Embedded Network Systems Engineering (I‐SENSE: http://isense.fau.edu) are seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-earning or tenured Associate/Assistant Professor.
Florida Atlantic University is a state‐funded university, established in 1964 and is designated under the Carnegie Classification as a High Research University. As part of its strategic plan, the university has designated four areas of research excellence (or “Pillars”). I‐SENSE represents the Sensing and Smart Systems Pillar. The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is one of FAU’s ten colleges.The College has an enrollment of more than 1,400 students. Faculty conduct research in a broad range of areas, including health equity, holistic health, healthy aging, and transforming care environments. The College’s MSN and DNP programs are ranked 49th and 60th and our online MSN graduate program is ranked 7th by U.S. News and World Report.
The College of Nursing is grounded in a philosophy of caring that creates a foundation for research, teaching, practice, and service; and the Associate/Assistant Professor is expected to play a leadership role in advancing externally funded, collaborative research at FAU.
Earned research doctorate from an accredited institution in nursing (PhD) or a related field and a program of research, record of or potential for external funding to support research, and a relevant publication record required.Demonstrated interdisciplinary experience that bridges Nursing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or related fields is preferred.
