Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Math Learning Center Coordinator, Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Coordinates scheduling, training, and certification process and assists with the management of this high energy, high volume student center.
Frequently interacts with faculty, staff, students, and administrators while managing multiple projects.
Works with the Director in the department and coordinates various initiatives such as College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certification process and academic support semester planning as well as assists with event planning and marketing MLC services and programs.
Assists with managing MLC staff including Graduate Teaching Assistants, Tutors, Learning Assistants and Front Desk.
Assists with the management and operations of the Math Learning Center and SAM Lab. Performs responsibilities in a variety of areas to include, but not limited to: developing and maintaining appropriate schedules and applying further adjustments to meet both the needs of the tutors and of the students enrolled in supported courses, time keeping and approvals in Workday. Coordinates scheduling process and as such, provides leadership to tutors/student workers.
Coordinates special programs and events for the MLC and acts as a liaison with other departments within the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) while developing joint activities. This includes student success showcase events where an MLC table is displayed such as: expos, breezeway events, etc. This involves all aspects from identifying dates and locations, reserving space, creating marketing for the events, developing the programmatic and content components and all pre-event preparation and day-of event operations. This may include development of presentations for orientation and admission recruitment events.
Develops and implements special projects related to current goals and objectives for the MLC and identifies needs to support key areas of the department during peak periods. This may include the development of the academic support/tutoring programs (helping to identify qualified individuals, helping to recruit, interview, select, and place tutors and Learning Assistants).
Ensures that students get the help they seek and addresses any issues, including entry and processing no shows for appointments in TutorTrac, making sure the queue system is functioning properly, and managing usage reports from eTutoring.
Coordinates the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) training by assisting with the development of materials, scheduling the training, running selected training, and maintaining certificate data.
Collects and analyzes data from TutorTrac (visit/appointment software) and other sources including data collected by tutors, Learning Assistants and online tutors.
Interprets and implements department and University policies and procedures.
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization (preferably math or education); or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.Must also have excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.
