Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Elementary Teacher, Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:
Knowledge and experience teaching 5th-6th grades.
Demonstrate the ability to plan, model, deliver, and develop standards-based, student-centered learning experiences.
Identify and apply relevant educational research-based instructional strategies.
Develop engaging and differentiated lessons, assignments and assessments.
Utilize relevant technology and resources for optimal engagement and differentiation.
Manage student behavior through positive behavior interventions and support.
Support social emotional and character education strategies to facilitate student development in self and social awareness and responsible decision-making.
Provide timely, appropriate, and actionable feedback to students.
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
Engage in research activities to further the school’s mission and to generate advancements in teaching and learning.
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization by the time of application required. Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in K-6 or valid Florida Department of Education Statement of Eligibility in K-6 required.Preferred: Knowledge and experience teaching 5th-6th grades.
