FAU Counseling and Psychological Services is seeking a Staff Counselor.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling within a time-sensitive treatment environment.
Rapid assessment, treatment planning, and coordination of services.
Crisis intervention and case management.
Group counseling (interpersonal process, psychoeducational, support group, etc.).
Prepare and present workshops – psychoeducational sessions to increase coping skills and resilience, reduce stress, and gain effective communication skills.
Provide training, outreach and prevention services.
Establish liaison relationships with departments and provide consultation.
Will perform other duties as assigned.
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required. Preferred Qualifications:Two years of post-licensure experience.University Counseling Center experience.Bilingual (Spanish, French, Creole, Portuguese).Strong presentation skills.Experience and interest in group therapy.Experience with complex crisis and/or clinical situations.Areas of expertise of particular interest to our center include: Eating Disorders, Alcohol and Drug Abuse assessment and motivational interviewing, LGBTQ+, working with emerging adults with marginalized identities.
$57,000 – $68,000 based on experience.
